A World Of Change With Education At It’s Center

Posted by alarin on December 25, 2011

The internet has changed almost everything, especially education. According to a recent survey, 1 in 4 college students were taking at least 1 online class. Online learning is much more economically and environmentally friendly. Not only do students spend less on gas and textbooks, but they also pay less tuition. Bill Gates said not too long ago in a conference in Lake Tahoe, CA that in a few years anyone should be able to locate the best lectures worldwide online, thereby rendering educational institutions obsolete.

Bill Gates has even helped sponsor Khan Academy which offers “a free world-class education for anyone anywhere.” They have over 2,100 videos online that range from simple algebra to the Vietnam War. The internet provides opportunities for anybody able to invest time to learn. Financial resources are becoming less important whereas time and access to internet are all anyone would need to learn important and important information. Although it can be quite a powerful and destructive force to society and our planet, the internet is helping bring to pass great improvements in education and instruction. There is also educational funding programs available for college students and minorities. As an example, they provide scholarships for African Americans that will help them finance their educational needs.

Now more than ever, people are in a position to lift themselves out of poverty to become influential and important in their communities. Before, you had to travel long distances to have access to the world’s best books and professors but now they come to you. This is why giving poorer children in 3rd world countries access to the internet has become so important. Eventually everyone will have the ability to get a quality education for almost no cost. In the early American colonial times, the only people who could get a high-quality education were people who had lots of money and power. A lot has changed since then.

In addition to the internet, tablets also are dramatically changing the way in which we learn. As opposed to big bulky textbooks students now have interactive ebooks that let them watch videos, play games and listen to audio clips. As opposed to working with papers and broken pencils, students now have the opportunity to write, edit and send their projects all wirelessly. During the past decade, education has changed more than during the entire last century. Unfortunately too few individuals are benefiting from this. Many individuals have access to these tools however they are simply lazy or they don’t know about them.

The future of education is a bright one. It actually is constantly evolving and becoming more accessible for all. Unfortunately people aren’t taking advantage of the opportunities they have access to. Classes online are taking over, not just as a result of flexibility they offer students but in addition for their environmental and economic influences.

The Future Of Education

Posted by alarin on October 4, 2011

Due to the internet, education as you may know it was changed forever. A recent survey said that of all college students enrolled in classes, 1 in 4 had at least 1 online course. The economy and environment are better off when we take classes online. Books, gas, and high tuition costs are a number of the things you’re able to avoid while you take your classes online. According to Bill Gates, the highest quality lectures and keynotes are going to be open to anyone online within 5 years, which makes it so that individuals don’t have to spend a huge amount of money to visit a high-quality university.

Going in conjunction with what he said, Bill Gates helps fund Khan Academy, which helps anyone across the world to acquire a “free world-class education.” From basic trigonometry to the binomial theorem, the Khan Academy has around 2,100 video lessons for anybody ready to learn. Individuals who have enough time and desire to gain more knowledge are able to use the internet to obtain a quality education. Money is becoming less important whereas time and access to internet are all anyone needs to learn important and useful information. Although it can be quite a powerful and destructive force to society and the planet, the internet helps bring to pass great developments in education and instruction. They also have educational funding programs available for college students and minorities. As an example, they provide scholarships for african americans that help them fund their educational needs.

Now more than ever, people are able to lift themselves out of poverty to become influential and important in their communities. Before, you had to travel long distances to have access to the world’s best books and professors but now they come to you. This is why giving poorer children in 3rd world countries access to the internet has become so important. Sooner or later everyone will have a way to obtain a quality education for pretty much no charge. During the early American colonial times, the only people that could easily get a high-quality education were people that had tons of money and power. A whole lot has changed since that time.

Together with the internet, tablets also are significantly changing the way in which we learn. The only thing a student needs to have a complete learning experience full of videos and interactive games is a small device the size of a notebook. It’s now possible to make and submit entire essays wirelessly, without needing to be worried about not having enough ink or getting hand cramps. Education has changed more within the last couple years than it did throughout the whole twentieth century. Not enough people know about the changes in education and even fewer people are actually using them. Everyone who has access to the internet can use these tools but not enough people know about them.

Education has a bright future, as do those who will be able to benefit from the changes that are going on. Education is evolving for the better and giving everyone equal possibilities to learn and grow. Sadly, the opportunities that lots of individuals have in education aren’t being taken advantage of. Classes online unquestionably are the future of education, not just because they’re environmentally and economically friendly but also since they give their students flexibility.
